Developmental Checklist Screening

The checklist serves as a valuable tool to assess whether your child is on track with typical developmental benchmarks. It also highlights emerging skills, providing insights into how your child is progressing in areas essential for communication and learning. By participating in the program, you will gain a better understanding of your child’s current abilities, along with personalized recommendations and support to encourage continued language growth.

Goal Development

Our checklist screening helps assess key communication milestones, including language comprehension, expression, and social interaction. This process provides a clear understanding of your child’s strengths and areas needing support.

Based on the screening results, we develop personalized goals that are specific, achievable, and tailored to your child’s unique developmental needs. This targeted approach ensures meaningful progress in their communication skills.

Our 8-week comprehensive speech and language development program for children ages 2–3 consists of hands-on, interactive, communication-focused playgroups. In collaboration with UNC and NCCU student interns, it is designed to identify and address potential communication delays early.

Sessions are weekly for 1 hour for 8 weeks. We have two options available for English- and Spanish-speaking families.
